Narendra Modi – My perspective

+Narendra Modi – The current vibe in Indian politics is making ripples in upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. There is a new enthusiasm in the air about the proceedings. I have never experienced such a vibe in past 15 years, where one man is becoming a symbol of change. With all this in place, I was thinking from my perspective, why Mr Modi is so important to an evident political change.

Backed up and leading a party raised from communal base, and a bloody communal riot in the profile and stand up to be the leader of a secular country is not a walk in the park. In Indian democracy, Prime minister is only Prime of a group. The ultimate power stays with the parliamentarians in his accord. So, what makes Mr Modi a decisive leader for BJP or a tough opponent for the ruling side?

The biggest advantage of Modi is the current deficit scenario of Indian economy. The inflation, Currency depression, price rise etc. has already created a negative public view for the UPA Government and a change is inevitable. The multi million scams of the government ministers have broken all previous records of corruption and the trust of people has blown away and cannot be reinstated with election promises.

At this precise moment, Modi enters with his state Gujarat as example of his caliber. So, it’s worth to have a glance at the “Modi Gujarat Model’, which he believes to implement as ‘India model’ if he succeeds as next prime minister of India. From my perspective, the points that adds value to Mr Modi as Chief Minister of Gujarat are
  • Economic recovery after the devastating earth quakes in Gujarat.
  • Average growth rate of Gross State Domestic Product(GSDP).
I am not going by the political propaganda of BJP or the accusation by the ruling party. But, the above two points are really an achievement of the leader within Narendra Modi. Yes, I do agree that the communal riots in Gujarat wouldn’t have gone to the macro level, if as Chief Minister, Modi has taken more proactive and timely decisions, but a single failure cannot be the benchmark of a man’s capability.
The political view point of many will be different and I do not have leniency towards any political group. The above is my independent view of the current Indian political space and another reason to blog, exercising my fundamental right of speech granted by the constitution of India.
